You will have 10–15 minutes to walk the ridge, choose your spot, and set up your camera or phone.

Cappadocia mornings are cold year-round because of the high altitude and open valleys. In summer (June to August), light layers, a long-sleeved top, and a windbreaker are enough — temperatures often sit between 8 and 14 °C at dawn. In spring and autumn, add a fleece or warm jacket and consider gloves. In winter (December to February), serious cold-weather clothing is essential: thermal base layers, insulated jacket, hat, gloves, and waterproof shoes, since temperatures can drop well below freezing and there may be snow on the ground. Comfortable closed-toe shoes are best for walking on uneven volcanic terrain.

Balloon flights in Cappadocia are weather-dependent and controlled by Turkish Civil Aviation (SHGM). If flights are officially cancelled due to wind, fog, or rain, there will be no balloons to watch, and we will contact you the night before or very early morning. In that case, we offer you a full refund or the option to reschedule for another morning during your stay at no extra charge. Roughly 250 to 290 mornings per year are suitable for flights, so cancellations are not the norm but do happen, especially in winter.

Pickup time changes with the season because it is tied to the official sunrise. In summer, we typically collect guests between 04:15 and 04:45. In spring and autumn, pickup falls between 05:00 and 05:45. In winter, it shifts later, usually between 06:00 and 06:30. We send you the exact time the evening before by WhatsApp or email after the official flight clearance is confirmed by SHGM. We pick up from cave hotels and conventional hotels in Göreme, Ürgüp, Uçhisar, Çavuşin, and Ortahisar at no additional cost.

You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time and receive a full refund with no deduction. Cancellations within 24 hours are non-refundable because the vehicle and driver are already committed. If we cancel the tour for any reason on our side — including official no-fly mornings declared by Turkish Civil Aviation — you receive a full refund or the option to reschedule for another date during your stay, whichever you prefer.
